How do peace studies, sustainable development, and women's issues intersect?  This lecture tackled the question through a discussion of the speaker's work with Sustainability issues, Servas International and IPRA (International Peace Research Association) and her experiences as the founder of SantiagoEcoAmigos, a tree-planting farm in Brazil.

Light catering of Brazilian snacks from a local restaurant was served.

Professor Santiago was in New York to attend the 64th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW64) at the United Nations New York headquarters, which was canceled in light of the current outbreak of coronavirus disease (COVID-19)
